ON SITE, NOT JUST ON SCREEN

Validate AP locations under real-world conditions.

An APoS survey—short for Access Point on a Stick—takes Wi-Fi planning from the simulation into the actual building. We temporarily mount an access point on a tripod, measure its coverage at the proposed location, and optimize its position, height and orientation directly on site.

In production facilities and warehouses in particular, high-bay racks, stored goods, machinery, metal surfaces and changing stock levels have a significant impact on radio propagation. An APoS survey makes these effects measurable and provides a reliable basis for the final installation.

How an APoS survey works

Why APoS is more precise than simulation alone

A simulation is an important starting point. APoS adds measurements from the real environment—exactly where the Wi-Fi network must perform reliably later.

PLANNABLE AND TRACEABLE

Your APoS survey deliverables

You receive verified access point locations supported by on-site measurements and photo documentation. Electricians and installation teams can use them to implement cable routes, mounting hardware and AP positions without ambiguity.

The APoS survey combines our Wi-Fi Design with a targeted Wi-Fi Site Survey. After installation, a final validation can confirm that the completed network meets the defined requirements.

APoS survey for your facility

Especially suitable for warehouses, production facilities and demanding industrial environments.

The scope depends on the area, building geometry, number of test locations and technical requirements. We will provide a transparent, individual quotation.
